La famille annonce avec tristesse son décès inattendu, le lundi 21 février 2022 à l’hôpital Lady Minto de Cochrane, à l’âge de 80 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Jeanne (née Génier), ses enfants : Nicole (Norm) Mooyekind de Timmins et Ben (Nancy Gauthier) Girard de Hearst.

Il était le grand-père de Brianna, Cory, Myriam et arrière-grand-père de Rylan.

Réal laisse aussi dans le deuil ses frères et sœur : Jacqueline (Octave) Gravel, Marcel (Johanne Tessier) Girard, Réjean “Boots” (Lise) Girard et ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.

Il fut prédécédé par ses parents Aldéric Girard et Béatrice Vallée, ses frères et sœur: Aurèle Girard, Roger Girard, Jeannine (T-Val) Nadeau.

La famille aimerait remercier le personnel, les infirmières, Dr. James Ross et les docteurs de l’hôpital de Lady Minto.

Le service funéraire aura lieu à l’église Transfiguration, le samedi, 12 mars 2022 à 11h célébré par le Révérend Père Rémi Lessard.   *** RESTRICTIONS POUR LA COVID-19 EN VIGUEUR***

The Family announces with deep sorrow the sudden passing of Réal at the Lady Minto Hospital of Cochrane on Monday, February 21, 2022at the age of 80.  He leaves in mourning his wife Jeanne (née Génier), his children: Nicole (Norm) Mooyekind of Timmins and Ben (Nancy Gauthier) Girard of Hearst.

He was the beloved grandfather of Brianna, Cory, Myriam and great-grand-father to Rylan.

Réal also leaves in mourning his siblings: Jacqueline (Octave) Gravel, Marcel (Johanne) Girard, Réjean “Boots” (Lise) Girard and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Aldéric Girard & Béatrice Vallée, his siblings Aurèle Girard, Roger Girard, Jeannine (T-Val) Nadeau.

The family would like to thank all the nursing staff, Dr. James Ross and doctors at the Lady Minto.

The funeral service will be held at Transfiguration Church in Cochrane on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11 am with Reverend Father Rémi Lessard officiating. **COVID RESTRICTIONS SRE IN PLACE.**
