Huguette (Brisson) Filion

À la douce mémoire d'Huguette Filion
1928 - 2022

Le 3 novembre 2022, à l'âge de 94 ans, Huguette Brisson Filion nous a quittés paisiblement. Autrefois de Smooth Rock Falls, elle demeurait au Manoir Belcourt d'Orléans depuis 2014.

Elle est partie rejoindre son époux Léo, ses parents Lauria et Albert, ses frères Gérald (Margaret), Alain (Katy), Robert (Rita), sa soeur Léola ainsi que tous les membres de sa belle-famille Filion.

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Léola (Laurent) Gravel, Rachel (Gilles) Davidson, Marc, Luc (Angéline), Claude (Denise), Jocelyne (Marc) Dubord et Lorraine (Claude) Samson ; ses petits-enfants Alain (Shannon O'Rourke), France (Justin Finnigan), Louis (Geneviève), Alexandre (Stephanie Hollos), Mélanie,

Elizabeth (Daniel Ouellet), Gabrielle (Brandon Belliveau), Yannic, Mathieu (Katarina Lehto), Pascal, Sébastien, Renée (John Forestell), Maxime et Amélie ; ses douze arrière petits-enfants ainsi que son frère Jean-Louis (feu Rose).

Huguette était une personne aimable, souriante, accueillante, dévouée et elle vivait sa vie pleinement. Elle était passionnée de la lecture, la musique, les casse-tête, les jeux de mots et le magasinage. Huguette était une participante fidèle et active aux nombreuses activités offertes à la résidence.

Une célébration de sa vie aura lieu le printemps prochain à Orléans.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Huguette Filion who died peacefully on November 3rd, 2022 at the age of 94. Formerly from Smooth Rock Falls, she was a resident of the Manoir Belcourt in Orleans since 2014.

She was predeceased by her husband Léo, her parents Lauria and Albert, her brothers Gérald (Margaret), Alain (Katy), Robert (Rita) and her sister Léola as well as all her Filion in-laws.

She is survived by her children: Léola (Laurent) Gravel, Rachel (Gilles) Davidson, Marc, Luc (Angéline), Claude (Denise), Jocelyne (Marc) Dubord and Lorraine (Claude) Samson ; her grandchildren Alain (Shannon O'Rourke), France (Justin Finnigan), Louis (Geneviève), Alexandre (Stephanie Hollos), Mélanie,

Elizabeth (Daniel Ouellet), Gabrielle (Brandon Belliveau), Yannic, Mathieu (Katarina Lehto), Pascal, Sébastien, Renée (John Forestell), Maxime and Amélie ; her twelve great-grandchildren as well as her brother Jean-Louis (the late Rose).

Huguette was a loving, jovial, devoted, welcoming and pleasant person who lived life to the fullest. Her passions included reading, music, jigsaw and word puzzles and shopping. She was a faithful and active participant at numerous activities offered by the residence.

A celebration of life will be held next spring in Orleans.
