Gary Decevito
August 22, 1952 – May 16, 2021
Gary passed away surrounded by his loved ones at the Lady Minto Hospital in Cochrane on Sunday May 16th, 2021 at the age of 68. He leaves behind his mother Gisèle Decevito (nee Gauthier), his wife Carole Cheff, his daughters Carey-Ann (Nicholas) MacLean and Faye Decevito-Malherbe (Brian Malherbe), his grandchildren Isabella MacLean, Kaylee Malherbe, Addison MacLean and Rylee Malherbe, his siblings Danny (Candace) Decevito, Mark (Heather) Decevito, Dennis (Diane) Decevito, Wayne Decevito, Karen (Bill) Pudim and Brian (Amanda) Decevito. Gary was the brother-in law of Aurèle (Lina) Cheff, Lise (Réjean) Castonguay, late Sylvio Cheff, Colette (late Paul) Bruneau, Yvon (Sue) Cheff, Laurent (Florence) Cheff, Laura (Rudy) Giangualano, Noël Cheff (Rosa Viau), Liette Cheff (Terrance Audet), Berthe (Robert) Viau and Germain (Lynne) Cheff. Gary also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his infant son, father Vincent Decevito, his parents-in-law Léandre Cheff and Gabrielle Cheff (nee Vaillancourt).
Private family visitations will be held at the Genier Gauthier Funeral Home.(any information please call 705-272-5726) Chapel service will be held on May 19, 2021 at 3pm and the event will be livestreamed. The maximum of people allowed at the same time in Genier Gauthier funeral home is 10 attendees at one time; No line-ups or "cycling" of guests. 1 entire group at one time
Outdoor funeral services up to a maximum of 10 attendees may still take place
The wearing of a mask by everyone in the funeral home and visitations and funeral is mandatory;
No memorial donations will be accepted in person at the funeral home;
No food nor beverage services will be provided;
Washrooms will not be accessible;
Everyone must follow proper health and safety advice, including physical distancing of two meters from people who are not from the same household or their established 10-person social circle;

Sa famille vous annonce son décès survenu à l’hôpital Lady Minto de Cochrane, le dimanche 16 mai 2021, à l’âge de 68 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil sa mère Gisèle Decevito (née Gauthier), son épouse Carole (née Cheff), ses filles Carey-Ann (Nicholas) MacLean et Faye Decevito-Malherbe (Brian Malherbe), ses petits-enfants Isabella MacLean, Kaylee Malherbe, Addison MacLean et Rylee Malherbe.
Gary était le frère de Danny (Candace) Decevito, Mark (Heather) Decevito, Dennis (Diane) Decevito, Wayne Decevito, Karen (Bill) Pudim, Brian (Amanda) Decevito et beau-frère de Aurèle (Lina) Cheff, Lise (Réjean) Castonguay, feu Sylvio Cheff, Colette (feu Paul) Bruneau, Yvon (Sue) Cheff, Laurent (Florence) Cheff, Laura (Rudy) Giangualano, Noël Cheff (Rosa Viau), Liette Cheff (Terrance Audet), Berthe (Robert) Viau et Germain (Lynne) Cheff. Il laisse également nombreux neveux et nièces et amis.
Il est allé rejoindre son bébé fils, son père Vincent, ses beaux-parents Léandre et Gabrielle Cheff (née Vaillancourt).
Il y aura une visitation privée pour la famille. La cérémonie en chapelle sera diffuser ‘Live Streaming’ le 19 mai 2021 à 15h.
