It is with great sadness, to announce the sudden passing of our dear beloved George Lawrence Hookimawillillene at the age of 61 on Sunday, May 15, 2022, in Ottawa, Ontario.
Lawrence was the cherished sibling of Pauline, William, Albert, Earl, Susan, Helen, Jane, Shirley, Annette, Barbara, Augustine, Nicole, Jackie, Rose, Lindy, Jessie, Leslie, Eric and step-father John Edwards. Lawrence will be missed and remembered by his daughter Kisina, and his aunt, nieces, nephews, step-siblings, cousins and his many friends.
Lawrence impacted the lives of all he met. He will be forever known for his sharp sense of humour. And his compassion, love of music, and his cats. He enjoyed many wonderful years with his friends from Fort Albany, Moosonee, Kashechewan, Attawapiskat and Ottawa.
Lawrence is predeceased by his mother Mary Edwards(nee HOOKIMAWILLILLENE) and his father Joseph Scott. His grandfather John Hookimawillillene and brothers Roger, Harry, and Louie. His sisters Lucy, Mary, and Christie. His aunt Theresa and uncles Luke, Daniel and Joseph Hookimawillillene.
Friends may pay respects at Genier Gauthier Funeral Home, 70 Seventh Ave. South of Cochrane, Ontario on Friday, May 20, from 7 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 9:30 am to 11 am. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 am on Saturday, May 21, 2022.
