Entouré de l’amour des siens, Edgar est décédé à l’hôpital Lady Minto de Cochrane, le mardi 4 février 2020, à l’âge de 92 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Claire (Frank) Prior de Cochrane, Lise (Dave) Kosloski de Morrisburg, Yves (Sharon) Girard de Cochrane, Liette (Ralph) Girard de Cochrane, feu Gaëtan Girard et feu Marc (Coco), grand-papa de Murray (Heather), feu Christopher, Cynthia, Randy (Jolene), Sheila (Guy), Amanda (Tom), Kelly-Ann (Dan), Trevor (Kim), Stephanie (Eric) et 13 arrière-petits-enfants.  

Edgar était le frère de Denis-Paul (feu Jeannine), feu Albert (Jeannine), Conrad (feu Anita), feu Fernand (Emma), Lauré (Huguette), Lucien (Betty), André (Mariette), feu Lina (feu Vernon) Nichols et oncle de plusieurs neveux et nièces.

Il est allé rejoindre son épouse Lucille (née Perron),  ses parents Liard & Marie-Rose (née Tousignant) Girard.

Edgar as travaillé pour plusieurs années chez M.J. Labelle. A sa retraire il aimait travailler le bois & être entouré de sa famille.

Tout en respectant les vœux d’Edgar, il n’y aura aucune visitation ou funérailles. Un service privé aura lieu plus tard.

En mémoire d’Edgar, des dons peuvent être faits à la l’hôpital Lady Minto – Hopsice Suite ou Villa Minto.

With great sorrow his family announces his passing on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the Lady Minto Hospital in Cochrane, at the age of 92.

He was the husband of the late Lucille Girard (nee Perron) and the son of the late Liard & the late Marie-Rose (nee Tousignant) Girard.

He was the cherished father of Claire (Frank) Prior of Cochrane, Lise (Dave) Kosloski of Morrisburg, Yves (Sharon) Girard of Cochrane, Liette (Ralph) Girard of Cochrane, late Gaëtan Girard and late Marc (Coco), grandfather of Murray (Heather), late Christopher, Cynthia, Randy (Jolene), Sheila (Guy), Amanda (Tom), Kelly-Ann (Dan), Trevor (Kim) and Stephanie (Eric). He also leaves behind 13 beloved great-grandchildren.

He was the brother of Denis-Paul (late Jeannine), late Albert (Jeannine), Conrad (late Anita), late Fernand (Emma), Lauré (Huguette), Lucien (Betty), André (Mariette) and late Lina (late Vernon) Nichols. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Edgar worked for M.J. Labelle for numerous years and after his retirement he kept busy with woodworking and spending time with his family.

In respecting Edgar’s wishes, there will be no visitation and funeral. A private service will be held at a later date.
