Obituary

In Loving Memory of
Mr. Dean Lake
November 22, 1968 – January 25, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that his family announces his passing on Monday, January 25, 2021 at the Lady Minto Hospital in Cochrane at the age of 52. He was the son of the late Michael Lake.

He leaves behind his mother Judy (John) Garnett, his sister JoAnn (Robert) Lake-Dyer, his nephew Dylon Gauthier, his closest uncle Tom as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins from the Lake and Francis Families, his very special friend Amy and numerous friends.

Dean worked for M.N.R.F. as a fire technician since 1988. He loved his career with Cochrane Fire Department where he had just recently received a certificate for 25 years of service. He was also awarded the OPP Commissioner Citation for Bravery on February 24, 2005 where he rescued a baby from a fire.

Dean loved to travel and was an avid cross-country skier. He was a great help at the Cochrane X-Country Ski Club.

As per Dean’s wishes, there will be a graveside service on May 21, 2021. (Time to be determined)
