Mrs. Antoinette Lafontaine
(nee Dubeault)
August 25, 1926 – January 10, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that her family announces her passing at the Lady Minto Hospital of Cochrane on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the age of 94. She leaves in mourning her daughter Ghislaine (late Michael) Hopkins, her grandchildren: Gabrielle (William) Morris, Cynthia Caouette, Robert (Melinda) Caouette, Kristopher (Annie) Hopkins, Karen Hopkins, her great-grandchildren: Keegan (Bettina) Dargie, Kierin  Dargie, Jessica (Santana Wright)  Caouette-Davies, Elyssa Caouette-Davies, Taylor Caouette, Alleigh Caouette, Liam Hopkins and a great-great-grandson Elijah Wright.

In addition, Antoinette will be greatly missed by numerous nephews, nieces and friends.

Predeceased by her husband Richard, her eldest daughter Lorraine Lafontaine-Caouette, her parents Louis and Rose-Alma (nee Beaudoin) Dubeault and all of her siblings: Jeannette (late Léo) Rochefort, Colette (late Eusèbe) Génier, George (Susan Cheff) Dubeault, Vianny (Louise)  Dubeault, Marcel (Eugene) Dubeault, Normand (late Jeanette)  Dubeault, Annette (late Edouard) Ethier, Lorenzo Dubeault and Jacques Dubeault.

 Antoinette was a lovely and lively lady who adored her family, always quick with a smile and an infectious laugh. She was also a creative spirit who enjoyed sewing, various crafts and spending many hours tending to her beautiful garden.

Visitation will be held at Génier Gauthier funeral Home, 70, 7e Ave. South, Cochrane on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, followed by the funeral at the Transfiguration Church at 11 am.

All persons wishing to attend the visitation or the funeral at the church must register their attendance with the funeral home, in advance. 

You may call the funeral home during our regular business hours only, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Antoinette will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Cochrane Catholic cemetery in the spring of 2021.
