C’est avec une profonde tristesse que sa famille vous annonce son décès survenu paisiblement le mercredi 28 août 2019 à l’hôpital Lady Minto de Cochrane, à l’âge de 67 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Diane Rancourt, ses filles Annie (Claude) Cameron, Isabelle (Marc) Trépanier et Caroline Royer (Léo Godin), ses petits trésors : Alexanne, Chloé, Michelle, Émilie, Bradley et Nicolas.
Il était le frère de : feu Huguette, feu Denise, Jean Claude, feu Roger, Laurette, feu Rachelle, feu Gaëtane, Marcel, Yvon, Nicole, Gaëtan et ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces et amis.
Ronald as été rejoindre son épouse de première noce Johanne (née Pormeleau), ses parents Léo & Irène (née Denis) Royer et sa demi-mère Germaine (née Dubé).
Ron était un homme de famille, aimait beaucoup la vie, rire et qui avait une grande foi. Il était toujours prêt à aider les autres et même de donner sa propre chemise… un homme avec un grand cœur d’or. Il a fondé sa compagnie Detour Machining & Fabrication Inc. en 1992.
La famille accueillera parents et amis le vendredi 30 août 2019 de 18h30 à 20h30 à les Maisons Funéraires Génier Gauthier, 70 Seventh Ave South, Cochrane. Les funérailles auront lieu au pavillon Commando, 225 Fifth St., Cochrane, le samedi 31 août 2019 à 15h et seront célébrées par pasteur Patrik Tousignant.
Comme vous le savez Ron était un homme de grande générosité. Ainsi donc la famille souhaiterait que si vous avez à cœur de faire un don, prenez plutôt l’opportunité de bénir quelqu’un dans le besoin.

It is with heavy hearts that his family announces his passing at the Lady Minto Hospital in Cochrane on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at the age of 67. He leaves in mourning his wife Diane Rancourt, his daughters: Annie (Claude) Cameron, Isabelle (Marc) Trépanier and Caroline Royer (Léo Godin), his grandchildren: Alexanne, Chloé, Michelle, Émilie, Bradley and Nicolas.
He was the brother of the late Huguette, the late Denise, Jean Claude, the late Roger, Laurette, the late Rachelle, the late Gaëtane, Marcel, Yvon, Nicole, Gaëtan and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.
Predeceased by his first wife Johanne (born Pomerleau), his parents Léo & Irène (born Denis) Royer and his step-mother Germaine (born Dubé).
Ron was a family man, loved life, to laugh and had great faith. A man with a big heart of gold and would help out anyone in need and would give his shirt off his back. He founded Detour Machining & Fabrication Inc. in 1992.
Family & friends are welcome to visit on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Génier Gauthier Funeral Home, 70 Seventh Ave South, Cochrane. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 3pm at the Commando Pavilion, 225 Fifth St., Cochrane with Pastor Patrik Tousignant officiating.
Knowing that Ron was a man of great generosity. In lieu of donations, the family wishes you take the opportunity to bless someone in need.
