Mr. Roland Vaillancourt
July 31st, 1940 – January 18th, 2019

With great sadness his beloved family announces his peaceful passing at the Lady Minto Hospital in Cochrane on Friday January 18, 2019 at the age of 78. He will be deeply missed by his children Daniel (Kathleen) Vaillancourt of Wemindji, QC, Diana (Jean-Marc Aubertin) Vaillancourt of Cochrane, Jacques (Maren) Vaillancourt of Wemindji,QC, Joanne (Thomas) Archibald of Cochrane and Leopold Vaillancourt of Cochrane, his grandchildren Daniel Jr., Blare, Mark (Shawnee), Darren (Ashley), Matthew, Nathaniel, Nicole, Damien, Keenan, Branden, Jeffrey, Dakota and his great-grandchildren Brody, Kenyon, Kevin, Kaisen, Gracie, Lee-Lan, Karson. He was the brother of Robert Vaillancourt of Hearst, Thérèse (late Roger) Dumoulin (friend- Ernest Massicotte) of Cochrane, Denise (Raymond) Brochu of heart, Lisette Dépré of Hearst, Jules (late Henriette) Vaillancourt of Cochrane, Claude Vaillancourt of Cochrane. He was predeceased by his wife Irene Mayappo, his son Stanley and his parents Léopold and Rose-Aimée (nee Carrier) Vaillancourt

Visitations will be held at Genier Gauthier Funeral Home, 70 Seventh Ave, Cochrane on Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 7 pm to 9 pm and Monday, January 21, 2019 from 9:30 to 10:30 am followed by a Funeral Service in the Funeral Home at 10:30 am conducted by Pastor Patrick Tousignant.

La famille accueillera parents et amis à la Maison Funéraire Génier Gauthier, 70 Seventh Ave, Cochrane le dimanche 20 janvier 2019 de 19h à 21h et lundi 21 janvier 2019 de 9h30 à 10h30 suivi d’une célébration à 10h30 au salon funéraire avec le Pasteur Patrick Tousignant.
