George Linklater Sr.

Sunset: March 10, 2018

It is with heavy hearts that his family announces his peaceful passing surrounded by loved ones on Saturday March 10th, 2018 at the Golden Manor Nursing Home in Timmins at the age of 75. He leaves in behind his wife Dorothy (nee Sutherland) and his children: Sandra Linklater, Brian (Lianne) Linklater, Deborah (Jack) Rickard and Dawn Linklater. He was the beloved grandfather of Jessica, Paige, Steven, Nathan and Sean.​

George also leaves in mourning his siblings: Jimmy, Mary, Phemie, numerous nieces, nephews as well as extended family and friends.  

He is predeceased by his son George Thomas “Mister” Jr., daughter Valerie, grandsons Travis, Willie, his parents Sydney & Elizabeth (nee Kataquapit) Linklater, his siblings Pauline, Mike (Denise) and his sister-in-law Elsie.

The family will receive family & friends on Thursday, March 15th, 2018 from 7 pm at the Pentecostal Assembly church in Moosonee.

The funeral will be held on Friday, March 16th, 2018 at 11 am at Pentecostal Assembly church with Garfield Mark officiating.
