Bertrand “Bert” Robin
1957 ~ 2018

It is with heavy hearts that his family announces his passing on Saturday March 3rd, 2018 at the Lady Minto Hospital in Cochrane at the age of 60. He leaves in mourning his wife Gisèle (néeClaveau) and his children: Pierre (Tanya) Robin and Patrick (Chantal) Robin all of Cochrane.

He was the beloved grandfather of Kimberlynn, Mackayla, Eliana and also step-grandfather to Fayth, Donovan, Preston and Brianne. ​

Bert also leaves in mourning his siblings: Denise (David) Wandler of Alliston, Paul (Kendra) Robin of Cochrane, Nicole Robin of Barrie, Raymond Robin of Porcupine, Jean (Susan) Robin of Cochrane, Benoit Robin of Ottawa, Philippe (Cheryl) Robin of South Porcupine, Charles Jr. (Noëlla) Robin of Cochrane, several  in-laws of the Claveau Family and uncle to numerous nieces & nephews.  

He is predeceased by his parents Charles & Annette (née Lavoie) Robin.

Bertrand was an avid outdoorsman.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and being surrounded by his family. He was known as the “MacGyver” & Jack of all trades. He took pride in his work.  

The family wishes to thank the medical staff and especially Dr Ross at Lady Minto Hospital for the excellent care they provided over the last three weeks.  In respecting Bert’s wishes, there shall be no visitation nor funeral.  A celebration of life will be held this summer.

La famille annonce avec tristesse son décès à l’hôpital Lady Minto de Cochrane, samedi, le 3 mars 2018, à l’âge de 60 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Gisèle (née Claveau) et ses enfants : Pierre (Tanya) Robin et Patrick (Chantal) Robin tous de Cochrane.

Il était le grand-père  bien-aimé de Kimberlynn, Mackayla, Eliana et le grand-père par alliance de Fayth, Donovan, Preston et Brianne.

Il était le frère de Denise (David) Wandler de Alliston, Paul (Kendra) Robin de Cochrane, Nicole Robin de Barrie, Raymond Robin de Porcupine, Jean (Susan) Robin de Cochrane, Benoit Robin d’ Ottawa, Philippe (Cheryl) Robin de South Porcupine, Charles Jr. (Noëlla) Robin de Cochrane, plusieurs membres de la famille Claveau, ainsi oncle de plusieurs neveux et nièces. ​

Bert est prédécédé par ses parents Charles & Annette (née Lavoie) Robin.

Bert était un amateur de plein air. Il aimait beaucoup la pêche, la chasse, trapper mais surtout être entouré de sa famille. Il était reconnu comme le MacGyver & l’homme à tout faire « Jack of all trades ».  C’était un grand travaillant fier de son ouvrage.

Tout en respectant les vœux de Bertrand, il n’aura aucune visitation ni de funérailles.  Une célébration de la vie aura lieu à l’été. La famille désire remercier Dr Ross ainsi que le personnel de l’Hôpital Lady Minto pour leurs soins impeccables au courant des trois dernières semaines. 

À la demande de la famille, les dons l’hospice de Lady Minto de Cochrane seraient appréciés.
